Good Afternoon David,After some analysis and head scratching and finally asking a native speaker we found out that after jugar. You wouldn’t use the article, al though in most situations when talking about sports, the sport would carry the article. So, "me gusta el golf" is correct and so is "me gusta jugar golf", but our native speaker told us that "me gusta jugar el golf" sounds strange. The same for something like "prefiero el futbol" or "prefiero jugar futbol" but not "prefiero jugar el futbol".We aren’t really sure what the specific rule is but our native speaker assures us it is asi.As for "que divertido", it sounds corny when translated directly in English, but it’s something you’ll hear in Spanish. Also as I former ESL teacher I agree with your comment about "Yo voy al cine con mi hijo todos los viernes" should be "I go.." I agree. I think it was an unintentional mistake on the developers part. Another one for our list of improvements. Thanks again and I hope you’re having a great day. Keep at it, you’ll be at Spanish 4 soon.
