Bravo! I was hoping this would be the next lesson. I was reviewing a level 5 podcast (not the pinocchio ones, but from the CD) and one of the sentences used this tense. So became more interested in it. I believe it was "It would be a pity" or "sarebbe un peccato". I had to listen to it a few times before I realized they just tossed in this new verb tense without explanation.

Funny how we are exposed to this tense with Vorrei and I never realized. I'm noticing that as I learn more tenses (there's not that many left), I have very little difficulty remembering their endings. The only annoying is remembering the irregular stems but if you learned the future tense, then those irregulars should be familiar which is good; at least they don't change!
I think out of all the verb tenses, some of these endings can result in a tongue twister. I know "loro parlerebbero" put my tongue in a tangle haha
