I asked this same question a month ago (it's in the filter German -> Session by Session -> Level 1, Session 9). It still hasn't been answered. In later sessions, I've also found that we haven't been taught enough about word order to confidently do all of the flashcards (it's my only complaint about the program).

I'm not a pro, only on Level 1 Session 13, and just making a guess. My assumption is that "da" and "hier" are adverbs that are more specific on location - like asking if it is "da" while pointing at a map. For "nah", maybe it is being used more as an adjective. I googled German Adjectives and "Nah" is listed as being on the list of the Top 20 most used adjectives.
