Answer Question
I'm confused: Spanish upg 1.23 in Write The Phrase You Read, "Voy a ir al teatro.." vs. ".. y quiero ir al museo"
The first English phrase segment is "(I)'m going to go to the theater.." : "Voy a ir al teatro.." is the answer and that is what I was expecting.
In a separate dialog the English phrase segment is ".. and (I) want to go to the museum." Fluenz says that's "..y quiero ir al museo." in Spanish.
Why does the first Spanish phrase have ".. a ir a.." following the verb 'Voy' but the second one does not have the leading 'a' and has just "..quiero ir a.."?
Isn't that inconsistent? I was expecting ".. y quiero a ir al museo." Seems like English "<verb> to go to .." is always in Spanish "<verb> a ir a..".
Can someone help straighten me out?
Thanks
