Answer Question
Ordinal numbers for dates vs occurences
Hi, quick question about ordinal numbers. How do you distinguish between the use of the ordinal number as a date, vs as a numbered occurence. For instance, "It didn't rain on January 1st." vs "This is the first January it didn't rain. I suspect that it would be the same wording (erste Januar), but with the use of another word, such as "am". Is this correct?
