Answer Question
German 3 Session 28 Need help with "nicht"
We don’t want to go to Niklas’ party tonight.
Wir möchten heute Abend nicht zu Niklas’ Feier gehen
So, I'm looking at the placement of "nicht" in the answer above. It is negating that they don't want to go to Niklas's party, since nicht is placed before "zu Niklas' Feier gehen."
I thought the English could mean that they don't want to go to the party tonight (maybe when Niklas has a party another night they'll go to that one). So I wrote:
Wir möchten nicht heute Abend zu Niklas' Feier gehen.
Just wanting to know if that's correct, or am I missing something. Thanks.
