Answer Question
When to use "a" before a root verb
I'm struggling with when I need to use the "a" prior to using the root verb.
For example:
voy a comprar
but
necesito comprar
quiero comprar
Why do I need the "a" in the first sentenct, but not in the next two? In all three cases, "comprar" means to buy. So why is it not "voy comprar?"
