Answer Question
When to use à vs au when the noun is modified.
I get that using à la or au is based on the gender of the noun. I am getting confused when the noun is modified though and I don't know the rule for this.
For example, in the lessons, it was à ce restaurant when there was ce before restaurant.
However, in the lessons, it remained au nouveau restaurant when nouveau proceeded restaurant.
Can anyone help me with the rule for this?
Thank you
