Answer Question
Word order question re Dann and Dort
I get the general word order of subject verb and time place and manner for declarative sentences. But some words I'm struggling with regarding placement. For example, in the sentence "und ich bin dann fertig," why is dann there? Is it a "time" phrase? And then the sentence "und die gerichte sind dort gut und günstiger." I don't get why dort is there. I believe it would be inappropriate to say "und die gerichte Dort Sind gut und günstiger" because the verb must be the second part of the sentence. Is that accurate? Even so, could it not be " die gerichte Sind gut und günstiger dort"?
thanks,
Tim
