Answer Question
French 2, flashcards
Please help me get my brain wrapped around this. I was working on the flashcards for Level 2 French, and I included lessons 18-22. So I encountered a flashcard with the following prompt: "Where is her cake?" I typed in the following translation: "Où est-ce que son gâteau est?"
The program said my answer was wrong, and gave the correct answer as: "Où est son gâteau?"
I understand that the given answer would be correct if I did NOT include 'est-ce que.' But since I did, wouldn't my answer be correct? Per Caroline's lecture in lesson 22, the correct order is: (Prep. +) Q.word + est-ce que + subject + verb. Isn't that what I gave?
Am I missing something? Please clarify!
Thanks :)
