Answer Question
Using "a" versus "in"
I am going through italian 1, section 29, and I feel like im getting confused on some grammer.
I just went through using "in + the country" when using the going verbs. Vado in italia: I'm going to Italy.
But when I came to this sentence, I can't seem to figure out why the "a" is being used:
"Quanto tempo volete rimanere a Venezi?"
How much time do you(p) want to remain in Venice?
We are not using the going verb, and I don't understand why we wont use "in Venezi" instead of "a Venezi". I am trying to pick up on the pattern for when we use "a" versus "in"
Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!
