Answer Question
Uses of "Ciao"
I am up to session 11 in Italian 1, and loving it! Ciao is always used as "Hi" in a greeting, but when I was traveling in Italy 10 years ago, I seem to remember hearing Ciao used as an informal Goodbye, in addition to a greeting. Arrivederci seems so formal when parting with friends. Is this an appropriate use of Ciao, or what else might be used for "Bye" or "See ya"?
Thanks!
