Answer Question
French 1: Be CRFL (careful) with word endings
I was reviewing the first five lessons of Fluenz French 1 and struggling with the pronunciation of some of the word endings. My husband was helping me with vowel sounds (he studied French in HS and we got Fluenz for him to pick it back up), and I started asking about why some words without an "e" at the end made the ending letter sounds (ex. Avec, Pour). He remembered that his HS French teacher gave a rule that the letters C, R, F, and L are almost always pronounced at the end of the words.
Does this rule generally ring true? Or should I be careful using this rule to help with word endings?
