Answer Question
Tengo que vs Debo
In the following sentence from Session 20 of Spanish 3: "Debo apretar este boton?" Debo is translated as "(I) have to...". Is there a difference in meaning between "debo" and "tengo que" here or is one more normal in certain situations?
I'm pretty sure either "debo" or "tengo que" could have been used there, but I wanted to make sure since I feel a bit more comfortable with "tengo que" and it is what I automatically translate when I see "have to".
