Answer Question
ultimo vs pasado
Is there a rule for using ultimo versus pasado when translating "last"? For me, I have been treating pasado as "previous" and ultimo as "final". However, it never donned on me that the two words could be used the same way until I hit this sentence in Spanish 4, Lesson 1:
"My last trip to Mexico..." translated as "Mi ultimo viaje a Mexico". I thought it should be translated as "Mi viaje pasado a Mexico". Does it matter?
