One flash card says "Se quedaron hasta la una y después se tuvieron que ir.¨ Translation is They stayed until one and afterwards they had to leave. I was expecting the end of the translation to be ....tuvieron qur irse.
Another card said ¨Sí, me gusta la idea, pero ahora tengo que irme¨ yes I like the idea but now I have to leave.
Why is one sentence ending in irme and the other ends with ir, instead of irse?
