Answer Question
ser vs estar
I thought I understood when to use ser and estar, but lesson 26 in series 3 has confused me again. It says "Nuestro apartamento es en el quinto piso de ese edificio." I thought for locations one uses estar. While I had heard of using ser in this example because a "party" is not a location, " La fiesta es en la casa de Juan" , an apartamento is a place located somewhere, like a bank when we ask "donde esta el banco".
I was thinking maybe because the apartamento is permanently located on the fifth floor, but the bank is also a permanent location. Any
feedback would be appreciated. Thank you!
