The definite article with de and descriptive nouns
In French 3 Lesson 21 the sentence “Were you(i) able to book the plane seats?” is translated as “Tu as pu réserver les places d'avion?” Not as “ … de l’avion”. However, in Lesson 22 there is a similar sentence “Where is the camera button?” which translates to “Où est le bouton de l'appareil photo?”. My question is, why is the definite article (le) omitted before “avion” in the first sentence but not omitted in front of appareil in the second sentence? Thanks!
