Answer Question
Spanish 3 Lesson 26
I have two questions regarding this sentence: "Mi mama esta en la cocina, hablando con una amiga."
1) Is the reason it is just "hablando" in the second phrase because there is already an "esta" in the first phrase so it doesn't need to be repeated in the second phrase--Mi mama esta en la cocina, esta hablando con una amiga.
2) What about the personal "a"? The friend mom is talking to is a specific person so why no personal "a". Does the conjunction negate the personal "a"?
Thanks for any clarification you can provide.
