Answer Question
Is there a rule for when to use "a" (to)
I find when translating from English to Spanish I struggle with knowing when to include the "a." As an example:
She needs *to* arrive -> ella necesita llegar
She is going to go -> ella va a ir
It seems with quite a few verbs like "to eat" and "to drink" the to part is dropped, but then with others it is included. My guess is that "to go" becomes "ir" but "going to" is "va a."
