Answer Question
suggestion and question
The Fluenz Italian lessons are great and I listen to the podcasts and audio cd's daily. What I'm noticing is that when I try to actually speak and practice with my Italian friends, it takes me a while to form sentences and converse. I know that listening and speaking are just a few big hurdles of learning a new language. While the current podcasts are fantastic, I would additionally like ones that require spoken translations from the listener that are a little more complex and differentiated from the CD workouts. For example, Sonia would say a phrase in English and then the listener would have a few moments to repeat it to him/herself in Italian. Then Sonia would verbalize the correct translation. I suppose this sounds similar to the flashcards but as an audio aspect. I'm able to form some sentences when practicing with my Italian friends but not as quickly as I can recall some of the phrases from the lessons. If anyone has any suggestions on how they practice conversational skills (without being in Italy), please share. Grazie! :)
