Answer Question
Sentence order - German 3
I'm trying to keep all of the word orders straight but I feel like I'm losing the battle. It's getting frustrating so I'm hoping that someone here will have the answers. Here's what I think I know:
Unconjugated verbs: go at the end. Ich moechte fahren
Time/when: goes immediately after the conjugated verb. Ich moechte donnerstag fahren
Modifications to time: goes immediately after the time. Ich moechte donnerstags abend fahren
Nicht: goes at the end but before the unconjugated verb: Ich moechte donnerstag nicht fahren
But what about direct and indirect objects?? Does the indirect object come first, then the indirect? Ich gebe dir einen Kuchen
and how do we mix in the time with the direct/indirect objects.
any help will be great! thanks!
