Answer Question
Good and bad news
I bought Italian 1-2-3 with the ambition and determination to become fluent in Italian. The program was great and I learned a lot ia a short time. Unfortunately, there's no where to go without help in the form of more lessons. And there's none in sight. It's a shame Italian-Americans lost their language. They did it to assimilate faster in their new country and the results speak for themselves. Through hard work and the new language, Italians ascended rapidly into the middle class. Unlike many of the new Spanshj speaking people who came to the country. They held onto their language and all their children speak it. The Spanish took longer to get into the middle class, but they've made it and still have their language. If you ask me, it was worth it for them. I'm older now and my kids are young adults, but I wish I felt back then the way I do now. I would've learned it with them. I didn't back then because I was too busy trying to get into and stay in the middle class. My wife is Spanish so I'm going into that now. It'll be so much easier with Spanish 1-2-3-4-5 available and a wife to learn with. I've picked up a lot over the years, but far from understanding the rapid pace they speak with. But I will. Italian, dove sei andata!!!!!!!!!!!!!
