Answer Question
Resolving "ing" endings in different scenarios
I'm in Spanish 4 Session 7 and feel comfortable with converting verbs with "ing" endings to "ando". For instance, the difference between "to study" and "studying" is "estudiar" versus "estudiando". However, this sentence in the session confused me so I wanted to see if this is a case where 2 answers would be acceptable or if there is a different rule:
"(I) spent some time around the coast before visiting his town" which translates to:
"pase un tiempo por la costa antes de visitar su pueblo"
So, my question - why would you use "visitar" instead of "visitando" in this scenario?
