Answer Question
German 4&5 Install - be patient and it will work!
I thought I'd pass along some advice that I got from Andy @ Fluenz support (thanks Andy!) I was having problems getting Fluenz installed - the installed looks like it's frozen, however I was able to run the program directly from the disc.
The fix was to just be patient while the install finished - it took 23 minutes to install German 4 on my Windows PC. I could watch how big my Fluenz 4 file was growing, so I knew that it was working. Here's the info that I got from support:
The installer may look like it is FROZEN at times and may take 20 minutes or so to finish installation. If a user thinks that the installer is frozen/stuck/won't install on these new discs, we can verify it is installing by doing the following:
WINDOWS
1) Go to "C:\Program Files\Fluenz" (32-bit Windows) or "C:\Program Files (x86)\Fluenz" (64-bit Windows)
2) Right-click the folder with the name of the program you're installing and select "Properties" from the menu that appears.
3) In the new window that opens, you should see the number next to the word "Size". Take note of this number and close the window.
4) Wait a minute and then repeat step 2. You should see that the number next to "Size" has increased. This means that the files are in the process of being successfully installed.
MAC
1) Go to Applications > Fluenz
2) Ctrl-click the folder with the name of the program you're installing and select "Get Info" from the menu that appears.
3) In the new window that opens, you should see the number next to "Size" (near the top of the window) periodically increase.
