Answer Question
How flexible are the rules of grammar?
I have been listening to italian radio to improve my comprehension. What has struck me is how some grammatical rules I've learned with Fluenz are not always followed by native Italians. For example, yesterday I heard "prossima settimana" (rather than "la settimana prossima"). Not a big deal, but I'm just curious how strict the grammatical rules really are? For those who have spent time in Italy, I'd like to hear your take on it.
