Answer Question
Listening Comprehension Questio
I am hoping someone can give me some advice. I am about half way through Italian III and am having a lot of difficulty with listening comprehension - even understanding things that I can easily say myself. I know that one technique is to listen to Italian TV, movies, etc., but when I do it still seems hopeless. Exactly, what is it you are supposed to do when you listening to these things? I have a tendency to try to translate what I am hearing but I am lost after the first two or three words. Are you just supposed to listen without trying to figure out the words being spoken? If so, how does that help you to understand?
