Answer Question
Learning both Latin American and Spain dialects at the same time
I have just received my Fluenz Spanish 1-5 (Latin America) course and I’m eager to learn my new language. I was wondering if anyone has attempted to learn both Latin American and Spain dialects at the same time. The reason I ask is I found a co-worker who is fluent in Spanish (Spain) who volunteered to be my sounding board while I learn. Already I see some dialect issues. For instance, “Yo”. Sonia teaches to pronounce it “Jo” however in Spain it is pronounced “Yo”. This is not a big deal but wouldn’t it make sense to learn both at the same time. Thoughts?
