Answer Question
Possible error in level 3 lesson 24
In the didatic portion Nora gives the following example: "Ich gebe Ihnen eure Karten = I gave you your tickets". My understanding is that "Ihnen" is a second person formal plural or singular personal pronoun in the dative case (to you, an acquaintance - not a friend, one person or a group). On the other hand, "eure" is a second person plural, informal possessive pronoun (you, a group of friends). Thus the only way the sentence could make sense would be if the speaker were speaking to two different groups of people and the speaker gave the tickets originally intended for a group of friends to a group of acquaintences. I don't think that this is what was intended. Pls help me out here. thank you Drew Sullivan
