Answer Question
da drüben
Most of the time when I hear one of the native German speakers say "da drüben" it sound more like "da drüden." I.e. the "b" sounds more like "d". It's not a real overt "d" sound like in English "dog." It's more of truncated "d" sound like in "forbidden" when that word is spoken quickly. I wish I could think of a better example. Alas, ich kann nicht. Has anyone else noticed this or have an explanation?
