Answer Question
Study Schedule?
I'm curious to hear from others about your study schedule. I am currently on Fluenz French level 3 and working on Session 11 which is the second review session for the level.
As I was going through levels 1 & 2 I got into a nice routine. I would go through a lesson for the first time, then do the flash cards for that lesson. Then on the next day I would repeat the lesson again. Usually on that second day I found that I would have a very good grasp of the material. I found that in almost all cases I could do a lesson in levels 1 & 2 in under an hour.
Now that I am on level 3, I'm finding the lessons require significantly more time. For me it's been in the area of 2 to 3 hours per lesson. The tutorials are much longer in level 3 and there are more exercises in the workouts. I wouldn't say that I having trouble learning the material, it's challenging for sure, but I do feel as though I'm struggling a little because of time. I'm finding it difficult to get through an entire lesson in one sitting, if I still want to be able to get some sleep. So I'm having to break them up. The result is that I'm not spending as much time overall on all of the material for a given lesson. Also at the same time as I started level 3, I also started a class at Alliance Française, which has also added some wrinkles to my routine.
I would like to keep a routine that I can follow on a regular basis because I feel that is the most effective way to learn something. So the question is, what is your learning routine?
