Answer Question
Mid-sentence capitalization of "Io" or "I" in Italian?
In English, we capitalize the pronoun "I" at all times, even in mid-sentence.
For example: "He wants a coffee and I want a glass of water."
In Italian, should we do the same? Which of the following is correct?
A: "Lui vuole un caffe e io voglio un bicchiere di acqua."
or
B: "Lui vuole un caffe e Io voglio un bicchiere di acqua."
I realize you could drop the Io/io altogether, but sometimes it is necessary.
Thanks!
