Level 3, Lesson 17 -- I understand that "am" is the contraction for "an dem": "am Montag." "An" takes the dative. But then you say, "Wie fliegen am Montag, den achten April." Why is "den" (accusative) used? Shouldn't it be governed by "an" and be in the dative? Nora didn't explain this. What am I missing?
