Answer Question
Y vamos a ir a comer juntas?
I'm confused about the structure of this question: Y vamos a ir a comer juntas? This means "And are we going to go to eat together?"
I understand that "ir" means "to go", and "a" means "to".
This being said, if I want to ask, "And are we going to go to eat together?", why wouldn't I ask, "Y vamos ir a comer juntas?" Why does there need to be another "a" before "ir"? Doesn't this actually mean, "And are we going to to go to eat together?"
If I wanted to say,"I'm going to go to the hotel", wouldn't I say, "voy ir a el hotel"? I wouldn't say, "voy a ir a el hotel".
Can someone help?
