Answer Question
When to use "a" or "que" for "to"?
Is there a specific formula when "a"/"que" needs to come before "ir" or after "va"/"voy"/"vas"/"van"? For example, I was using the Flashcards app and was asked to translate "(I) need to go to the police station". I thought the answer would be "Necesito que ir a la estación de policía" or "Necesito a ir a la estación de policía". Instead it was "Necesito ir a la estación de policía". I seem to be having difficulty grasping the concept.
