Answer Question
Hope someone has an explanation for this-- please?!
I am new to Fluenz Italian but not new to Italian. I have also just finished Levels 1&2 of French. My question concerns doing the exercises in Italian when using c'e and d'(vowel). Why in the world is a space required as in c'_e and d'_ vowel such as d'_arancia? Is there some programming hiccup here? I've taken Italian for years, including 3 weeks at Istituto Italiano in Florence and have never seen this construction. It would be like requiring a space when writing jus d'orange in French or l'hotel. No space needed there so please help me understand why this is required when doing the Italian exercises. It is tedious and unnatural to have to insert a space each time.
