Speaking the language.
I am not sure I entirely understand the purpose of the recorded sections of the Fluenz program. In the "advanced conversation" section it doesn't matter what you say or how you pronounce the words, the conversation will continue to advance. For experimental purposes I even just hummed a single note once instead of saying the "user" line and the conversation advanced. I have no idea if i am pronouncing the phrases correctly - I think it sounds right, but I just got back from a trip to Sengal and I was not able to communicate even the most basic phrases because no one could understand me. Why bother with the recorded feedback if we are only relying on our own ear to determine if we are saying the dialogue correctly?
