Answer Question
Hay versus sí hay
When doing the big review in I-22, I discovered that I was often unable to choose correctly between using hay or sí hay to express there is/are.
For example in this sentence ........ Disculpe, pero allá no hay dos bancos, hay una tienda....... I was expecting to use sí hay since there is a contrast with the no hay of the first clause. So are hay and sí hay interchangeable? If not, how are they different?
