Answer Question
Why do ordinal numbers (primero, segundo...) come before the noun?
As I understand it, adjectives are supposed to come after the noun in Spanish, e.g., "edificio grande", "boletos de avión baratos", and so forth. Why don't ordinal numbers follow this pattern? Why "quinto piso" rather than "piso quinto"?
