Answer Question
Auxiliary + adverb + past participle in passé composé?
In French 5 Session 28, Caroline reminds us that in passé composé adverbs go between the auxiliary (avoir or être) and the past participle. This is echoed by french.about.com and several other sites I just checked. But then I ran into this sentence in the "Write the phrase you read" section:
My friend understood easily what I was telling him, even though he doesn't speak French.
My answer: Mon ami a facilement compris ce que je lui disais...
Fluenz wants: Mon ami a compris facilement ce que je lui disais...
Is this a bug in Fluenz or am I unaware of some exception to the rule?
