Answer Question
Double Negative?
From Fluenz Spanish 1 Podcast #4, the Spanish for "I don't want to eat anything" is "No quiero comer nada." In my Native English brain, this is a double negative, "I don't want to eat nothing"... it seems to me that it should be "no quiero comer algo." The double negative must be correct - Sonya said so, hence I'm sure it is true. Still, does the latter make sense in Spanish?
