Answer Question
My Fluenz Experience
I must say, I find Fluenz so much more helpful than Rosetta Stone. This is by far the more superior way, at least for me, to learn the language of my family's heritage. I love this program and its technique.
On a side note, I'd just like to say that Nora is adorable! It makes my learning experience much easier and I appreciate her thorough understanding of both English and German.
However, I will say, even though Fluenz is superior, there are several bugs they have yet to work out in their presentation. I'm sure this will be corrected soon.
On the whole, I am very happy with my purchase and thrilled that I can finally learn the language I always wanted to learn much easier without being graded or assessed. I can learn at my own pace and I especially appreciate that Flunez teaches you how to read and write as well as speak, something Rosetta Stone sorely lacks and does not acknowledge!
Being a marketing professional, I can only advise that Fluenz take out a huge loan to do marketing. They have a superior program but it will get ground to dust unless they make this investment. It's sad, but, "word of mouth" will not save it. Perception, however distorted or ill-conceived, is reality to the public. History is replete with great programs, things, people and such that died out because no one knew about them, even though they were far better alternatives.
I would like to see Fluenz become more acknowledged. You don't have to outspend Rosetta Stone, but you do have to throw your hat in the ring and make your voice heard.
