Answer Question
Aural comprehension of French
Now I am on Fluenz French 3, I've noticed the type what you hear is being very hard. I am wondering if that is juts me or do others find this so. People speak so fast I cannot even tell where spaces are in words. For example, I spent a few minutes searching my memory for what 'tranpar' was before giving in a clicking answer. It turns out I should of heard 'train part'. Its hard to differentiate different conjugated verbs which look different in print but are nearly pronounced the same when you lave off half the consonants. eg je pars, je parle, je peux.
Whilst and I am getting fluent in the written French and can speak slowly, mu understanding of spoken French in very low and I generally have to click the speech button 6 to 7 times and translate/two words at a time. Some of them I think I'd struggle to remember in English! Does anyone have tips on improving aural comprehension.
