I have a question about the placement of adverbs in the following examples.
Gibt es einen Bahnhof nah? This is given as the answer for this example.
Gibt es da einen Bahnhof? This is given as the answer for that example.
We have similar structures, that is, the phrase gibt es, the same masculine direct object, and, in each example, an adverb of location. Why
does nah go at the end of sentence, while da follows the gibt es structure? Does not the adverb go as close as possible to the verb,
meaning that the second example (Gibt es da ...) should be correct? Thanks for any help you can provide on this.
