Answer Question
Pronunciation
I have noticed a real change in pronunciation with the speaker (Ella) in level 3. She often slurs words (such as "sie ist" becomes "siest") and says different words than the text (such as changing the sequence "morgen Abend" into "morgen abends," which admittedly makes better sense). I have also noted other speakers clipping the endings of some words closely related to one that follows. All of these are common phenomena of language use and better represent common speech than the carefully enunciated words of the previous levels. Nevertheless, Fluenz would be wise to apprise students of this in the introduction to lessons or during the tutorials. It can cause confusion if the student is unaware of these phenomena of language use.
