Answer Question
When did I miss "tener" and "familia"?
I'm presently in Spanish 2, lesson 7. I noticed a couple sessions ago (session 5) we learned the phrase yo tengo que, "I have to". However, no additional explanation was given regarding "tengo" or the TENER verb. Different conjugations have popped up, and logic leads me to understand the meaning and use of tienes and tenemos, however, did I just totally miss any introduction to that verb?
Also - in the flash cards or some of the exercise in possibly session 6 or 7, "familia" pops up. Again, this word is easy enough to figure out, but why pepper it in without introduction? There are many words we are being introduced to that are very easy to figure out (computador, internet, etc) but it seemed strange to me that words were showing up in exercises or flash cards that I didn't notice in the lessons. More concerning was the verb for "to have"...that's a pretty big one!
