Answer Question
Big difference between Spanish Latin and Spanish (Spain)
Hey guys,
I'm American, but living in Germany. I was stuck between choosing between both versions because although I live closer to Spain, I plan on moving back to the States in a few years. Well, I took Spanish 101 - 202 in College about 15 years ago, so most of this has been review. I know this is bad, but I finished Fluenz Spanish 1 and 2 in less than a month and I'll probably finish Fluenz 3 in 3 weeks. Sometimes I feel like I might be going too fast, but I'm really only relearning stuff. For instance, I'm on Fluenz 3 Session 8 and there was only one word I didn't know. I also hardly ever go through any of the English translations. Well, back to my question. To reward myself for completing a session, I fly myself to a different Spanish city for 4 days or so. I've been to Madrid and Barcelona. When I finish Fluenz Spanish 3, I plan on going to Tenerife. I didn't see much difference in Madrid, but that's because there were so many Latinos. In Barcelona, they spoke Catalan and that was extremely different. It got me wondering about how much different the Spanish (Spain) version is. Does it cover Catalan or does it just add all the Vosotros stuff?
