Answer Question
Need for Definite Article
In German 4-1 there is the English sentence "One needs insurance for everything in Germany". The translation is given as "Man braucht in Deutschland für alles eine Versicherung". My question is why is it "eine Versicherung" rather than just "Versicherung"? Using the indefinite article sort of implies "an insurance (policy)" but it's just not clear to me why it's required. Also, why is "für alles" after the place...seems not to be time-manner-place. Any thoughts?
