Answer Question
Understanding when to use what
This is a problem (one of) with an online program with no instructor to ask. There is "nuotare - to swim" and there is "fare il bagno - to bathe". We are taught to use "fare il bagno" for immersing one's body in a river, lake, or ocean, but, apparently "nuotare" is limited to "la piscina - the swimming pool". Is that how the italiani would use them? And if so, how do I say that I take a bath in "il bagno - the bathroom"?? I can only assume that I just "fare il bagno" without specifying a place like a river. Confusing. Any comments, anyone??
