Answer Question
Spanish Lesson 14 question
I'm having trouble understanding something in lesson 14. In the phrase: 'Necesito ir a comprar uno nuevo....' It seems like there is an extraneous 'to' and you are saying: I need to go to to buy.... Why don't you say: Necesito ir comprar (and leave out the 'a' before comprar)??? This is driving me crazy!! If ir means 'to go' and comprar means 'to buy' It seems like that would make more sense. There are several similar sentence structures in this lesson.
